Executive Functions are essential skills to manage daily life. These affect one’s ability to focus, follow directions, and handle emotions. Though these skills are critical to success, students are rarely, if ever, taught how to develop them. Most students never learn how to take effective notes, prepare for an important exam, or manage a busy homework schedule. Add an intense after-school roster of sports, activities, and social engagements, and it’s easy to see why many students feel overwhelmed.
By learning personalized strategies for planning, prioritizing, and organizing, students are able to improve their focus, impulse control, self-motivation, task initiation, and time management. These skills will carry them into college and adulthood.

Once his top picks were chosen, they modified the spreadsheet and showed him how to keep track of requirements and deadlines for each university.
